MAIDAN | UKRAINE

FEBRUARY, 2014 - Independent Journalism

IN LATE 2013 a protest against then-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and his pro-Russian government birthed an encampment in the Maidan, a popular square in central Kiev. The violence culminated in Yanukovych’s flight to Russia and the beginning of an ongoing struggle for Ukraine’s future.
